Can't combine with IW, Sig is already your elite.
Looks interesting, reminds me of the Storm of Swords skill from Kuunavang.

I'm pretty sure with when you attack with IW, your attack counts as a "failed hit"

Dont think lightblade meant to combine with the Sig of Midnight, but it is possible to do so with another mesmer in the group carrying the elite. Arcane Mimicry.
Think Lightblade meant to only use IW + Sand Shards

Actually, IW is a much superior idea than the Sig (though both are cute). IW forces you to miss AND do damage ... nice idea... :-)

Ouchie!
That's a nice idea...
Can be shattered though so I don't think it's overpowered

IW won't trigger sand shards, already tested it.
But after testing this out thoroughly, I've discovered that the max number of people you can hit with a scythe is 3.
So the best you can do (as far as I know) with this is Sig of Midnight, Sand Shards, some cover enchant, and twin moon sweep. This will max out at 6 hits (3 people double hit) which is something along the lines of 150 damage unblockable towards everyone nearby.

Here's one for you:
Way of the Empty Palm (Elite)
Critical Strike
Exhausting Assault
Nine Tail Strike
Death Blossom
Horns of the Ox
Sand Shards
1 more of whatever you want.
You just need to put points into Earth Prayers, no points necessary in Daggers or Critical Hits because you never plan on hitting.
Get Way of the Empty Palm and Sand Shards on, get in, drop your 5 auto-missing double attacks (or more, as they refresh) and get out.
Each double attack would miss twice automatically, dropping dozens of damage pairs all around you.

Yes, go Assassin secondary, Horns is super to use. Assassin has several skills that will miss all the time.

Kind of an odd way to kill things in PvE.
So many cheap enchants can stack on here, maybe a few stances. So long as she can be made to stand on her own two feet long enough, she can send out quite a few attacks with that (doesn't even really have to be a scythe) to a tight group of argo'd nasties. Plus, the max~130 damage finisher, based on the number of enchants you've got. 15 seconds of blind attacking would make for 9ish triggers. Then finish off with that 130 finisher. Nice little pile of PvE damage.
Too bad flurry can't be worked in :P

If you hit with a scythe with the AoE damages ... Does it do X missed target = X trigger for shard ... per hit ??

Sig of midnight is an elite. As is IW therefor both cannot be used at the same time

R/P Premade - Wow. However, if you alter it, even better?
Actually witness sand shards used today in PvP. It's nasty. Two dervishes where attacking my ranger. I had Whirling Defense up to avoid them while I focused elseware, but they both used sand shards. I saw a steady stream of -22 above my head twice, each time one attacked. That was a lot... of ... pain. Two of them doing that.
I think it triggers off the scythe too much.
Or maybe it was a fluke and I saw something incorrectly.
If that's the case, that was stupid powerful.

Godhead, if I get that list right, dual attacks innately attack twice, and having to follow an offhand attack will always miss, with empty palm they never cost energy, and they are strictly off the speed of your weapon anyway? Which would have critical strike recharged by the time you get through the list, possibly enough for almost two go arounds before empty palm stops. That sounds very fun.

You ruined Arenas for the whole weekend with that post. My god, it's all I see now. No monk in the world can keep up with that kind of DPS, and with 2 or 3 of those freaks on one target, it's practically impossible to do anything but cry blood and die. Oh well, that's what this weekend is for, letting us find all the broken / expliotable skill combos for Anet to fix in the next 3 months...
